OS: macOS Sequoia 15.3.1

Method: Crossover 25.0 (25.0.0.38553)

Game version: latest 1491.50. older versions will not run!

Store: Direct Install from DODI(yes, there is a reason for this. read the comment below.)

Resolution: 1280x832

Settings: in crossover D3DMetal and ESync is turned on. In game VSYNC half, FXAA on, TAA medium, Texture medium, TAA sharpening 27 notch (to look game less blurry) and every others set to low

Framerate: 30 FPS

Comment: The official Steam version’s performance is bad. The primary reason is the Rockstar Launcher, which significantly impacts performance. I obtain 15-20 FPS in the official version. Subsequently, I attempted the direct install from DODI, which has yielded better results. Note that the official Steam version performs well in 16GB models. However, if you have an 8GB model, you may consider using a pirated version. Repacks do not work in crossover. your only go is to download "direct play no install" file. If you have more than 8GB RAM, purchase it from Steam. note that in some cities and some specific places, the frame rate drops to 25-26 and it is not a significant issue(this is a fault of rockstar. even in my rtx4090 frame rate drops in valentine from 144 to 80.Crazy!).
I tested switching between MSync and Esync for 13 hours with various settings. In MSync, the GPU didn’t fully utilize, and RAM leaked. This issue was noticeable in 8GB but not in 16GB due to higher RAM. In Esync, RAM didn’t leak, the GPU fully utilized, and CPU usage became moderate. Temperature stayed in 65-70 in Esync, while it fluctuated between 80-85 in MSync. MSync caused significant FPS drops and huge stutters in cities, while Esync had very small FPS drops in cities with little stutters.

Also do not hardly gallop your horse in cities. Just walk :) In wilderness there will be no issue.

Those who are downloading from DODI, do not forget to download the "Patched DLC Unlocker" from the same page. otherwise you will get the error "the program launcher.exe has encountered a serious problem".extract the file. inside you will find a file named "launcher.exe" replace it with your main game launcher.exe and then run the game everytime from launcher.exe
