Error when launching the game via Steam that reads:

This game requires a CPU that supports F16C instructions.

Use patch

Download patch for 1053.7.809.1937 game version to the directory containing GhostOfTsushima.exe
(e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT)
Rename the original GhostOfTsushima.exe file to something else (e.g. GhostOfTsushima_orig.exe);
OR delete it
Rename the recently downloaded patch to GhostOfTsushima.exe
