Issues fixed

Game randomly crashing

Update game to beta (steam)[6]
  1. BACKUP YOUR SAVE FILES BECAUSE IT WILL BE UNREADABLE FOR PREVIOUS VERSIONS
  2. Open Steam
  3. Go to Library
  4. Search for Dying Light
  5. Right-click -> Properties...
  6. Open Betas tab
  7. Click on 'None'
  8. Choose 'published_version_1_47_2 - Patch 1.47.2'
  9. Close the tab
  10. The game will now update to 1.47.2

DualShock 4 controller not detected

Replace libSDL2.dylib[7]

Use more recent version of libSDL2.dylib with fixed rpath and replace the one found in the game with the new one from the maintainer of wineskin, gcenx:

  1. Download latest Wineskin wrapper.
  2. Ctrl+click and Show Package Contents, search for 'sdl'.
  3. copy libSDL2-2.0.0.dylib.
  4. Paste the file onto Desktop.
  5. Rename the file to: libSDL2.dylib.
  6. Copy file into Dying Light/DyingLightGame.app/Contents/Frameworks/ replacing the previous one.

This fix may also work with other SDL2 games with dysfunctional controller support.

Note: This fix also works with Xbox One controllers.
